KOJIMA PRODUCTIONS is the creative studio led by game creator Hideo Kojima. The studio was founded in Tokyo in December 2015 with the slogan “FROM SAPIENS TO LUDENS.” On November 8, 2019, DEATH STRANDING—the studio’s first game, which used world-famous actors—was released on the Playstation®4, and on September 9, 2021, DEATH STRANDING DIRECTOR’S CUT released on the PlayStation®5. The game garnered praise around the world and since its release has been recognized with countless gaming awards, including Game of the Year. Furthermore, Director Hideo Kojima was honored with a BAFTA Fellowship in recognition of his contribution to video games and visual media. At the end of 2022, the studio announced that DEATH STRANDING 2 (Working Title) was under development for PlayStation®5, to the eager anticipation of game fans around the world.
