The Electric State is a spectacular adventure from the directors of Avengers: Endgame set in an alternate, retro-futuristic version of the 1990s. Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things, Enola Holmes, Damsel) stars as Michelle, an orphaned teenager navigating life in a society where sentient robots resembling cartoons and mascots, who once served peacefully among humans, now live in exile following a failed uprising. Everything Michelle thinks she knows about the world is upended one night when she's visited by Cosmo, a sweet, mysterious robot who appears to be controlled by Christopher -- Michelle's genius younger brother whom she thought was dead. Determined to find the beloved sibling she thought she had lost, Michelle sets out across the American southwest with Cosmo, and soon finds herself reluctantly joining forces with Keats (Chris Pratt, Guardians of the Galaxy, Jurassic World), a low-rent smuggler, and his wisecracking robot sidekick, Herman (voiced by Anthony Mackie). As they venture into the Exclusion Zone, a walled-off corner in the desert where robots now exist on their own, Keats and Michelle find a strange, colorful group of new animatronic allies -- and begin to learn that the forces behind Christopher's disappearance are more sinister than they ever expected.

I honestly don’t understand how this movie was meant for adults—it was way too silly to take seriously. The plot was all over the place, the dialogue felt like it was written in five minutes, and the characters were completely one-dimensional. It was honestly a waste of time, and I kept hoping it would get better, but it never did. The only thing that stood out was the graphics, which were actually impressive. If the same effort had gone into the story and characters, it could have been decent. But as it is, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Parecería que, al saber todo el mundo el costo de la película (USD 320MM) La misma tiene que ser sí o sí una genialidad, pero no es así con ese criterio todas las películas independientes deberían ser malas, lo mismo aplica para las de bajo presupuesto. El costo no tiene que condicionar el visionado y me da la impresión que esta información y los antecedentes de los directores de películas anteriores (Avengers Infinity War y Avengers Endgame) pusieron la vara muy alta a la hora de juzgar esta película, que mi entender, es buena, es entretenida, se deja ver y por momentos emociona. Técnicamente es perfecta y aunque el guión puede tener algún punto flojo, no entiendo el ensañamiento de la crítica con esta película. Yo recomiendo que la vean.

Glad I didn't listen to the "critics'. It's a fun, thought provoking, yet light hearted, family oriantated Sci-fi flick. Yes the plot may be a little predictable at times tho it still had plenty of twists to keep it interesting. The action scenes are immersive with incredible CGI. Definitely worth a watch.
